
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting six new COVID-19 cases.
There are currently 51 active cases in the borough, with 413 recovered. Three deaths have been reported so far.
Of the new cases, two are linked to other cases among Juneau’s vulnerable/unsheltered population, bringing that cluster total to 38 so far.
Public Health is attributing three to community spread and three are under investigation.
The EOC, today, has been conducting testing at AWARE, Housing First, the Glory Hall, and the cold weather shelter at the JAHC.
Cumulatively, Juneau has had 467 positive cases of COVID-19 since March.
There are currently five people hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital with COVID-19.
Three Critical Care Unit beds are currently occupied at BRH, with six available.
The current test positivity rate is 3.56 percent.
