CBJ to distribute free cloth masks to public

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau will be distributing free cloth masks on Thursday, Aug. 6, and Friday, Aug. 7.

    Two masks will be distributed per person, and a person can pick up masks for their household.

    The masks will be distributed outside on Thursday Aug. 6 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., and Friday, Aug. 7 between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

    Mask distribution sites will be at Mendenhall Valley Public Library, Juneau Police Department, Gruening Park, Marine Park, Savikko Park Shelter #1, and Glacier Valley Elementary – Sít' Eetí Shaanáx.

    The masks are provided by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
