Douglas Flag Day winners announced

    Douglas, Alaska (KINY) -On June 14, the Douglas Fire Fighters ranked their favorite flag decorations on Douglas. The judges have made their decisions in the Douglas Flag Day competition.

    The first place house was 551 5th Street, the first place apartment was 412 H Street, and the first place business was Louie's Douglas Inn.

    Most patriotic was 307 St Ann's while best community spirit was 808 4th Street.

    The Douglas Fourth of July Committee thanked all who participated and are asking that they leave the flags up until the Fourth of July. They also recommend walking or driving around the south end of Douglas to enjoy the decorations.
