    Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 9:01am

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - All Fred Meyer stores and Kroger stores in many states have recalled various onions due to possible Salmonella infection.

The recall, which was issued Aug. 3, warns customers that if the onions are eaten it could result in severe illness to individuals.

Due to the potential health hazards, customers who purchased jumbo red onions, medium white onions or small yellow onions between May 15 and Aug. 1 should not eat the product.

Customers should return the product to the store for a full refund.
