Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A rockslide onto a dock in Skagway has seen a large cruiseship skip a Thursday port call.

According to Skagway Mayor Andrew Cremata, rocks have littered the dock owned by White Pass.

The slide happened between 6:30 and 7 a.m. on Thursday.

Cremata told News of the North he does not expect a suspension of cruiseship service to Skagway due to the slide. No injuries were reported, according to the mayor's office.

The Quantum of the Sea skipped a port call Thursday due to the incident. It's last reported location was just west of Funter Bay Seaplane Base.

In a prepared statement, White Pass related that the pier has been closed to passenger and vehicle traffic.

The Discovery Princess has repositioned to the aft position and will be tendering guests to the Small Boat Harbor.

White Pass presently owns and operates three deep-water docks capable of handling large vessel traffic in Skagway.
