
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting seven new COVID-19 cases in Juneau.
Public Health is attributing two of the cases to community spread and the rest are under investigation.
The University of Alaska Southeast cluster is currently at eight cases – six are active and two have recovered. One of the students with an active case is no longer in Juneau.
Cumulatively, Juneau has had 703 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 110 nonresidents.
There are 71 active cases in Juneau and 738 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation. There is currently one person with COVID-19 hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital.
Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services today reports 462 new people with COVID-19 – 459 are residents and three are nonresidents.
Alaska has had 25,369 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1,175 nonresidents.
